You already know it but I repeat it to you: from 10 to February 20 go to Berlin for the 61^st Berlinale edition with the best of recent cinema. Some of the novelties of this year will be the adaptation of the western “Valor Act”, a film which my American super-macho John Wayne won the Oscar for best actor with. This time, the film is revisited by the Coen brothers with the title of “True Grit”, acting Jeff Bridges and Matt Damon among others.

The presence of Win Wenders won’t be missing either, total film and my heart’s god. He will present the world premiere of “Pina”, a 3D documentary about the dancer and choreographer Pina Bausch, who died in 2009, and what was her life’s work, the Theater of Wuppertal. Wenders is great, he does not only transport but also plays with your emotions, he manipulates them. I’m dying to know how he has handled the 3D… This edition of the Berlinale also features the directorial debut of Ralph Fiennes British and German film, “Wer wenn nicht wir?” (“If not us, who?”),  Andres Veiel. The UK brings to the festival “Lipstikka” which tells the story of two women who meet in London to share an experience that changed their lives in Jerusalem.

Within the festival, there will also be the Expanded Forum, which this year will focus on films, videos and installations that challenge the current political thoughts of an aesthetic manner. So get ready for more fashion themes: migration, religion, ecology, activism, all that seems so much necessary and does not produce much change. Still, the discussion is necessary. And so, the Berlinale Talent Campus serves as a great opportunity to bring together emerging film makers through lectures, workshops and exhibitions. The Talent Campus will take place from 12 to 17 February, attention!
